Name: Oday Aboushi
School:
Virginia
Position:
OT
Game: North Carolina
Final
Game Grade: 6.37
Aboushi has nice length that helps him keep rushers at bay.
Has both, unique speed and athleticism that are in demand for the NFL. Those
traits will make him ideal, to be developed into a good pass-protector against
speed-rushers coming off the blind side.
The 6-6, 310 lb Aboushi has light and quick feet, which help
him to mirror edge-rushers. He can quickly get back and be in position to pick
up blitzers.
His quickness and burst out of his stance, allow him to be a
very good run-blocker in the second level of defenses. Uses his agility to get
in position to get good blocks beyond LOS. Does very well against undersized
linebackers and defensive ends.
At times, Aboushi's technique gets sloppy, falling back on
his length to make up for it. He tends to reach, rather than moving into
position when this happens. He needs to combine his ability to use his hands
and feet at the same time.
Overall, Aboushi is put together well for the NFL. He is not
overweight and has displayed good stamina. Could stand to add 10 to 15 pounds
of muscle. Best in a zone blocking scheme, using his athleticism.
