Name: David Fluellen
School: Toledo
Position: RB
Game: Northern Illinois
Final Game Grade: No game grade due to injury
Fluellen displayed very good COD and QAB for a bigger running back versus Northern Illinois. Obviously, a very athletic and versatile back. The 6-0, 215 lb. running back is very productive for Toledo. Keeps his legs driving forward after contact, gaining positive YAC's.
Coming into the game against Northern Illinois, Fluellen had back-to-back 200+ yard games versus Buffalo and Ball State. Bringing his season total to 1,460 yards, adding 13 touch downs as well.
His pass blocking needs some improving, as (like many college running backs) plays in a more spread offense and is not asked to pass block much. Can get beat/pushed back to easily for a back his size.
A good receiver out the back field. Though he can look a little lazy on some routes lined up on LOS. Made some great adjustments to the ball as a receiver on some badly thrown balls to make the catches. Displaying yet again his athleticism.
